ABOUT THIS WEBSITE

This website showcases my work over the years on various streets around the world documenting the everyday lives of ordinary people in the form of snapshots capturing simple moments.

Most of this body of work was taken on a Leica M6 analog camera with 35mm f1.4 ASPH  lens. More recently I shot using a Lumix  DMX-GF7 with 40mm f1.7 ASPH pancake lens.  Although not quite the same image quality, it was very easy to use and saved many hours manipulating the images in Photoshop. I always shot in the digital RAW format before reworking into PSD files. The lens image quality was very acceptable for this kind of project work.

My approach throughout has been to use one camera with one prime lens. The Leica M6 is an amazing workhorse but it's heavy and can be cumbersome while changing film under pressure. However, it's not really about the camera but what you do with it that counts. The purpose of this website is to share the travel adventures from some interesting locations around the world, capturing those moments when people are just going about their everyday lives.

The people I met along the way that touched me with their generosity and I had so many adventures as a result of just wanting to take pictures. The countries that left the most impressions on me are India, Italy, and Israel. Funny that they all start with the letter 'I'. In fact, I made Italy my ongoing project which is still very much work in progress.
