Street Photography
Projects from around the world.
In order to create all the material used for this website, I travelled to some incredible countries right across the world, each trip ended up becoming a journey of adventure and discovery.
I found there are two very different approaches possible to taking pictures on the streets. The first is to "find your stage" and wait patiently for something to happen, the other is to shoot lots of images on the hoof in the hope you will capture something extraordinary.
Both of these approaches work very well. However, the most rewarding for me personally was the first method but very often I was passing quickly through so did not have the luxury of time.
There are no rules in my book to taking pictures on the streets. Just set the aperture at f5.6 and shoot! I always ask permission to take portraits and respect it when they say "no". The common mistake I made is to be too far away, so during my trip to Morocco in 2012, I mixed with the people close up and shot ad-hoc.
This website and the projects being presented is not about photography per se, the purpose of this website is simply to share some, sometimes, amazing moments occurring every day on the streets around the world that we see only fleetingly, I have simply tried to record some of those moments to share with anyone that is interested in this subject.
