Italy is one of the most diverse and beautiful countries in all of Europe.  The food, culture, weather, all make this such a wonderful place to spend time.  Above all else, it's really the people that make this country what it is. The best way to describe this is by saying:  "Italy is the grand stage and its people are the actors".

 

This is evident everywhere you go. People are not afraid to show their feelings or affections in public - that is what struck me the most the very first time I came to Italy many years ago.  When I lived in Vienna, Austria I always had this inner desire to go see our neighbours in the south and I when I did, I was not disappointed.

 

The secret to Italy is the country's ability to move with the times technologically speaking and yet holding on firmly to the all-important traditions of the past.  Like eating good food, excellent wines and fighting any changes that might threaten those things.

Somehow I have the suspicion  that this project will never be completed, but hope to have captured some magic moments along the way.
