For this trip I took a Leica M7 with 35mm f1.4 ASPH lens. The electronics soon failed in the humidity so luckily I had a spare Voigtlander camera body which I used in manual mode with the Leica lens set at f5.6.

Its another bucket list destination and a country still locked in a time warp of the 1950's but that is changing. Such a vibrant place, full of life and where people will call you "gringo" a lot!

It was a trip full of adventure for start to finish and the Cuban people know how to live life with next to nothing and make you feel so welcome. I talked about this trip for years and still do. Why is it that some of the poorest people on this planet earth are also some of the most generous?

Local supermarket in Havana.

Never ending repairs

The main square in Havana - full of life and music.

Even classical music.
