I took a weekend course on street photography in Brighton in 2000, with the idea to improve my lack of photographic skills. That was when I started to learn the most important subjects are the people and to observe what is going on around you.
There are two photographic techniques I found, "safety in numbers" in other words shoot a stack of images and hope one is a keeper. Or, you can chose the stage and wait for the moment to come to you. I always chose the later.
This is a small body or work from my very first attempts to take street photographs.
